Some species of ornamental fish are virtually never traded as wild collected one, but exclusively as bred ones. Such a species is the head-and-tail-light, Hemigrammus ocellifer. Since its first importation in 1910 this fish is a favorite aquarium fish. The look especially pretty when the are kept over a dark gravel. In that case the light spots and the eyes seem really to glow! The photographed specimens were a by-catch to a new species of Serrapinnus from Peru (see http://www.aquariumglaser.de/en/serrapinnus-sp-aff-kriegi-peru_de_1578.html)
