Regarding the coloration this Pyrrhulina may look a bit inconspicous at the first glimpse, but if one gives the fish a chance to settle down it developes a bright, beautiful pastel. In any other respect this fish is a true Pyrrhulina and enables lots of interesting observations in the aquarium. This species prefers to swim in schools more than other Pyrrhulinas, so it is an ideal community fish for the upper water column.
