September 2006: From Potamotrygon menchacai, the tiger stingray, we could import a big, very beautifully patterned, female animal with approximately 60 cm in diameter. Tiger-rays can be colored quite differently and particularly can differ in the contrast. Our tiger rays come from Peru, through size and scrutiny, they certainly are among the most impressive “ornamental-fishes.” A basin with a big base is required for keeping these giants, at best several square meters should be provided for them.
