Finally we were able again to import this wonderful killifish from Paraguay. The fish are fast growing and reach a maximum length of about 12 cm. However, in the natural habitat it lives only afew months. Then the water dries away and only the eggs survive in the bottom of the former ditch until the next rainy season starts. Under aquarium conditions, however, the peaceful fish can live more than one year.
