Unusual ornamental fish bred in Indonesia 3: Leporinus affinis

23. October 2015

This
is another, very attractive large tetra, which is currently offered as
bred specimens from Indonesia. This Leporinus attains a maximum length
of about 25 cm total length and stays a bit smaller than the otherwise
very similar L. fasciatus, which reaches about 30 cm total length.

The
species needs a lot of plant material as food. It is almost impossible
to keep it in a planted tank. So it is best to keep that type of banded
Leporinus in very large tanks along with other large tetras, cichlids
and catfish.

For our customers: the fish have code 265842 on our stocklist. Please note that we exclusively supply the wholesale trade.
