Finally we were able to import again wild collected Chinese Paradise fish. The currently imported variety shows an interesting striped pattern in neutral mood. Males in breeding mood look wonderful and have very splendid colours. However, as our animals are not in breeding mood yet, we show here exceptionally a picture of a male that does not belong to our current stock. But the remaining pictures of fish in neutral mood show our latest import. Maximum length of M. ocellatus is about 6 cm. In areas with a mild winter this species can be kept a outdoors the whole year through.
